So you are all set now. You are just waiting on your kit to arrive so you can start selling and making money! But the work starts now.... you need to lock in those party bookings so you can get your business off to a good start. Studies show that those who go on to have success in party plan nearly always start off strong with an active line up in the first six weeks of receiving their kit. A line up just means the number of bookings you have lined up in a set period.

Getting your first bookings can often seem quite daunting as you have to go out of your comfort zone and ask people to lock in a date. It is also the first time you have had to talk about your business and 'sell' it to them. The first thing you have to sell is how wonderful the party will actually be. Your Unit Manager will always be delighted to hear from you. Call her with all your news, good or not so good! She can help you with all aspects of your role - don’t forget she is a Consultant just like you and you will benefit from her experience.
THE USE OF INCENTIVES
People are often surprised at just how many people they actually know once they sit down and start making lists. Do not discount anyone. Never assume that someone will not be interested. Everyone needs these products in their lives and you are doing them a favour by introducing them to your new business.


Filling out your Top 50 List will identify 50 people for you to contact about your business. It will get you thinking outside the box and will help you identify potential hostesses that you may have forgotten by
making a straight forward list.

Once you have completed your top 50 add to it! Have you missed anyone? Have you got all friends, relatives, acquaintances and neighbours.

Time to pick up the phone.... (when did you ever need encouragement to pick up the phone!)

When you make contact with the people on your list it should ALWAYS be by phone. Don't be tempted to take the easy way out and send them a text, email or facebook message. You are not likely to get the same response. It is much easier for you to get a vague response from a message whereas over the phone you have the opportunity to properly explain what you do and why it is so much fun. It also allows you to make that all important leap between someone agreeing to have a party and actually LOCKING IN THE DATE!
CATCH THEM AT THE OPTIMUM TIME!
Depending on who you are calling depends on the best time to call. For most people this would be between 8 and 9 in the evening as dinner is done, children are in bed and hopefully they will have the time to chat with you. Think about who you are calling and the best time to call.
FEELING TONGUE-TIED

Probably not a problem you are used to having but if you are not sure how to start the conversation. Here are a few ideas!

I am looking for hostesses to book parties. It is free for you to book and I will take care of everything. All you need to do is lock in date and
invite people over. Its a great excuse to catch up with people as well. We make sure everyone has a really fun night, we play some games, we hold a raffle and then we get to look through all the products.

The good news is I also have some excellent rewards for you to thank you for booking. You will get 10% of all sales to spend on products, you will also get a free toy or lingerie gift if two more ladies book in a party.

GETTING OVER THE HURDLES
    We've been round the block a few times and so have come across some common obstacles that people put in place to having a party. Well never fear as we know just how to handle them. Give these a go and your diary will be brimming with bookings. And we all know that bookings mean dollars!
    “I don't know enough people”
    We don't need many people. Invite three people over and we can have a party! If you tell all of them to bring a friend too that would be great. Smaller gatherings can be just as much fun and that way I will get to have a proper chat with everyone.
    “No one would come”
    You would be surprised! Let's put it out there and see who accepts. Most people are looking for something new and exciting to do. I can help you
    put together your guest list. And anyway I don't need many people. If you can gather four or five people together I will make sure they have a good night. Tell everyone to bring a friend and that's even better.
    “I don't know anyone who would be interested in those products”
    Again you would be surprised! Everybody deserves to have healthy sex life. Its not embarrassing at all. I will make sure everyone feels comfortable. They will probably thank you for organising it as most women want to know about these products but can't pluck up the courage to go into a sex shop. April Nites is for the everyday woman. Its not tacky or sleazy at all. I wouldn't have got involved with a company like that.
    “I couldn't it would be embarrassing”
    Its my job to make everyone feel comfortable. Ordering is all done discreetly and after a few little ice breakers you will be surprised how quickly people relax. This topic shouldn't be something we feel embarrassed to talk about as everyone deserves to have a healthy sex life and most people could use a little help in this area.
    “I am so busy at the moment. I just don't know when I could do it”
    You don't have to do much at all. All you need to do is pick a date and invite people. I will do everything else. If you have been really busy this will be the perfect opportunity to relax and catch up with your friends. Let's go through our diaries together and find a date then its done and you will have something to look forward to.
    SO NOW THEY ARE INTERESTED, BUT HOW DO YOU PIN THEM DOWN?
    Suggest two dates and give your potential hostess the option. Advise you have had a cancellation so you have a gap in your diary that you really want to fill. Offer different incentives for different dates. Tell them you need their help in order to meet your targets and only confirmed bookings count.

SWEETENING THE DEAL
You have a whole range of low cost products at your disposal on the Consultant Store that you can use as gifts for booking the parties. It is well worth spending up to ten dollars to obtain a booking as ONE party has the potential to offer you the following.

Approx. 10 new people to sell products to, to request party bookings of, and to talk about the April Nites opportunity. Average of $600 in sales which is a commission of $140. Average $50 to be made on the raffle. Potential for at least two new follow on bookings.
